• FM® 300 Adhesive Film

FM® 300 is a 350ºF (177ºC) curing modified epoxy film adhesive available with three different moisture-resistant polyester carriers, and is designed for bonding metal-to-metal and sandwich composite structures. To achieve ultimate environmental resistance in bonding aluminum details, use pre-cured BR® 127 primer with FM® 300 film adhesive.

Extensively used as a surface finished ply on composite materials’ outside layers, FM® 300 film adhesive has unique properties which drastically reduce, and in some cases virtually eliminate, time-consuming sanding and filling operations.

FM® 300 film adhesive has high elongation and toughness with high ultimate shear strength. This makes it particularly suitable for redistributing the high shear stress concentrations of graphite epoxy-to-metal bonds, and allows it to accommodate the low inter-laminar shear strength of the composite.

  • FM® 73 Adhesives Film

FM® 73 film adhesive is a toughened, general purpose aerospace epoxy designed to provide excellent structural performance from -67ºF to 180ºF (-55C to 82°C). FM® 73 film adhesive is formulated to provide outstanding durability in bonding metals and is also suitable for bonding many structural composite systems.

Extensive testing has proven that FM® 73 meets stringent environmental resistance and bonding durability requirements. To achieve maximum environmental resistance and bonding durability the use of BR® 127 corrosion inhibiting primer is recommended in bonding metallic components.

    Applications for FM® 73 include metal-to-metal bonding, composite-to-composite bonding, and composite-to-metal bonding.

  • FM® 94 Adhesives Film

FM® 94 adhesive is a 220ºF (104°C) service temperature, modified epoxy film adhesive designed for bonding metallic and composite structures. FM® 94 adhesive offers a unique combination of high temperature performance, toughness and moisture resistance as demonstrated by its ability to bond to wet Nomex® honeycomb and retention of shear properties after pre- and post-bond humidity exposure. FM® 94 adhesive is designed for applications demanding the best of both 220ºF (104°C) service temperature and -67ºF (-55°C) peel strength.

For composite and metal bonding applications, FM® 94 adhesive is formulated to exhibit superior elongation, toughness and shear strength properties. The controlled flow characteristics allow for its use in co-cured applications as well as bonding pre-cured structures. Also, FM® 94 adhesive provides excellent electrical insulation between metal and graphite composites, reducing the potential for galvanic corrosion.
